Cooking event series “Flavours of Kalamaja”

“Flavours of Kalamaja” is a monthly event series that takes place in the kitchen of the Kalamaja Museum. Cooking enthusiasts get together to prepare delicious dishes and try out timeless recipes under the guidance of Kalamaja’s current and former residents. Together, you can enjoy wonderful dishes and collect new recipes.

Flavours of Kalamaja with Maru, October 2022

“Flavours of Kalamaja” cooking events take place autumn to spring, once a month, always at 18:00 on a specified date.

The next cooking evening is taking place on the 23rd of April with Sirje

From 1977 to 1997 Sirje lived at Kopli 28, where it was possible to cook tasty food on a wood stove. Since the produce selection in stores was meager, they had to take a creative approach to what dinner to make for the family and how to use the ingredients to their fullest. Good tips were shared in the TalTech home economics club. At the ooking evening we will make Paradise soup from that era. First we will make our own chicken broth, to which we will add cheese, egg and others. For dessert we will make cake out of jam and tea.

The cooking event fee is 15 euros and attendance is permitted only with a pre-purchased ticket from Fienta HERE. Tickets are limited!
