Presently it contains more than 160 items from our collections, a major part of which is usually hidden in stoarge facilities. There are also three 3D virtual tours of a selection of our sites: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/culturalinstitute\/beta\/streetview\/tallinn-city-museum\/0AFkLcCtYYAHcg\">City Museum<\/a> at the medieval merchant\u2019s house in the Old Town, the 15c cannon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/culturalinstitute\/beta\/streetview\/kiek-in-de-kok\/rgHPcCh_0ny7lw\">Kiek in de K\u00f6k<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/culturalinstitute\/beta\/streetview\/peeter-i-majamuuseum\/0gGVj5wFC0hmgQ\">the house of Peter the Great<\/a>\u00a0in Kadriorg Park.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5926\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/culturalinstitute\/beta\/partner\/tallinn-city-museum\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5926\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5926\" src=\"\/\/www.linnamuuseum.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/x-saidile-Googl-eAC-avaleht-300x195.jpg\" alt=\"Tallinn City Museum @ Google Arts &amp; Culture\" width=\"300\" height=\"195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.linnamuuseum.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/x-saidile-Googl-eAC-avaleht-300x195.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.linnamuuseum.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/x-saidile-Googl-eAC-avaleht-768x500.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.linnamuuseum.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/x-saidile-Googl-eAC-avaleht-1024x666.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.linnamuuseum.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/x-saidile-Googl-eAC-avaleht.jpg 1488w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-5926\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tallinn City Museum at Google Arts &amp; Culture<\/p><\/div>\n<p>An introduction to our collections is provided by five exhibits\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/culturalinstitute\/beta\/exhibit\/JwIScKBVvb96LQ\">Tallinn Cityscapes<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/culturalinstitute\/beta\/exhibit\/FQJi8EkztGNJKA\">The Blackheads of Tallinn<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/culturalinstitute\/beta\/exhibit\/iwLC5MF8a-w5JA\">St Canute\u2019s Guild<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/culturalinstitute\/beta\/exhibit\/SwIit3XsMlEbIQ\">faiance made in Tallinn by Fick Factory<\/a>\u00a0and our collection of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/culturalinstitute\/beta\/exhibit\/_AJCF-QCtG_cLw\">archeology<\/a>. The treasures of our museum are now better accessible to everyone, including those unable to visit the museum in person.<\/p>\n<p>Our partnership with Google set off in spring 2015. By Arts &amp; Culture Google provided a superb free platform to present our museum, Google also captured our venues with Street View technology. The job of the museum was to collect and upload the content \u2013 images and texts \u2013, provide metadata, and curate virtual exhibits. The project gave an extra impulse to digitise our collections in even better quality.<\/p>\n<p>Estonian Annual Museum Awards are set up to acknowledge the best museum specialists and to promote different facets of museum work. For 2016, prizes \u2013 the Museum Rats \u2212\u00a0were awarded in ten categories, plus a special prize was awarded for for tourist friendliness. This is the fourth Annual Museum Award won by the Tallinn City Museum.
