The Tallinn City Museum contains eight different museums:
The City Museum is situated in the Old Town, in a medieval dwelling.The display shows the history of the town from its very beginning to the present day.
Cannon tower built in 1475-1483 and underground passages from 17. - 18. century.
The museum is situated in the medieval Town Council's prison. The history of Estonian photography has been
displayed here.
The display makes the visitor acquainted with children's world of play and games throughout centuries.
The small summer residence of emperor Peter I displays furniture that belonged to Peter I and portraits of Russian rulers from the 18th century.
The Almshouse was founded in the 13th century. The walls of the building were opened in 2001 during archaeological excavations.
The writer's memorial museum has is displaying his last home and an exhibition of his life and work
Writer Eduard Vilde (1865-1933) lived in this building from 1927-1933. The museum exhibiting the last home of the writer.
