Exhibition by young artists “I am to myself a mystery” 30.08 – 10.10.2018

You are invited to the opening of “I am to myself a mystery”, an exhibition by young artists, on 30th of August at 17.00 in the Museum of Photography.

“I am to myself a mystery” exhibits figurative portrait series, which are connected by stories of personal tales. The key is a line from a poem by Artur Alliksaar: “I am to myself a mystery, which holds in equal coy and daring.”

Authors of the photo series are the graduates and students of the Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication School of Tallinn University’s art section: Ave Hansen, Hanna Stina Heinloo, Anastassia Gaplevski, Pavel Ivanov, Anna Kõuhkna, Maarit Mürk, Lora-Liza Parv, Paula Parts, Kalli Pilov, Holger Rannus, Triin Sagen and Tuuli Tohver.

The objective is to introduce the creations and worldview of young authors to a wider art public. This is a joint exhibition of twelve authors who all have very different creative styles. Aside from photography, these young artists are also actively interested in painting, animation, graphic design, hiphop music, music videos, stenography, poetry, floristics or acting. Coyly and daringly.
The curator of the exhibition is Eve Kiiler.

The exhibition will be open until 10th of October.
